Orbea Scape

Orbea Scape. Built this one up from scratch with the help of REI on the fork/crankset and Chris with the shifters/lines. Weighs in at 22.5 lbs. Lighter if I swap the rear tire. Could easily be a 20 lb bike with extremely lightweight rims and XTR crankset. This one spoiled me and is the reason I sold the Stumpjumper. Climbing hills was never the same on a full-suspension.

Details:
  • Frame - Orbea Scape 20" (ebay - started it all)
  • Fork - SID World Cup (Thanks to Chris)
  • Wheelset - Ritchey WCS comp Hugi hubs(loud!)
  • Shifters - SRAM Attack (Gripshift is much easier for me)
  • Brakes - Team Forte (lightest and cheapest rim brakes I found)
  • FD - Shimano XT
  • RD - Shimano XT
  • Cassette - Shimano XT 11-32
  • Crankset/BB - Stylo 3.3 (Shimano XT weight without the Shimano pricetag)
  • Stem - Sette Vann
  • Handlebar - Sette Vector
  • Brake Levers - Avid FR5
  • Saddle - Nashbar Ti race
  • Skewers - Nashbar (lighter than anything else out there)
  • Pedals - Eggbeater C (had REI dividend - won't buy anything else after having these)
  • Tires - front Michelin Wildgripper / rear Panaracer Fire XC
  • Seatpost - Syncros (Thanks to Chris)
  • Bottle Cage - Cat Cage (nice matching blue)
