Had a tire issue where the bead was not sitting perfectly on the rim. Contacted WTB about it and they were really nice about getting in touch with me after I sent them an email. Talked to Chris Schierholtz about the problem and he suggested pumping the tire up to maximum pressure to pop the bead in place. I did so, but not all of the tire went into place. I took a look at the area where the bead was not sitting in place and found that the rim strip was on the inner lip of the rim where the bead sits. I cut the strip to a smaller width and tried again. Better luck, but still had a part that was not sitting properly. I popped an inner tube with all the inflating/deflating.
Larry suggested using very soapy water to make the rubber a little more slippery and pop the bead in place. After drenching the area that was not sitting and pumping back up to maximum pressure, I heard a pop and it went in. It took a while to look for all the areas of the tire that were not set properly but finally it all looked good. I did the same for the front tire which only had one small section that didn't want to sit properly. Now both tires didn't wobble at all!
I give two thumbs up for WTB. Very nice customer service. In terms of service Orbea is very good as well. They respond to emails immediately. On the other hand, Specialized and Crank Brothers never returned any emails I sent to them. This was one of the reasons why I decided not to buy and support Specialized any more. I like the eggbeaters too much though and would recommend them to anyone even if they never responded to my emails. Thanks to Patrick for introducing them to me and giving me his old pedal after I bent my new set after only 5 rides. :)
